Molecular design and synthesis for homogeneous catalysis, small molecule activation and green chemistry

Invention of o-arylene amido phosphine complexes that led to revolutionary expansion of molecular designs in relevant fields worldwide (e.g., attracting attention of a Nobel Laureate, Professor Robert Grubbs at Caltech, as evidenced in his publications)

Development of highly active and selective catalysts for syntheses of fine chemicals and macromolecules

Investigation and resolution of fundamental challenges of inert molecule activation for global energy and ecological (or environmental) crises

Syntheses of well-defined, multi-functionalized bio- or petro-polymeric materials for biomedical and commodity applications
